1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Blur Faces, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service. These terms apply to all users, whether accessing the service as a guest or as a registered account holder.

2. Description of Service

Blur Faces provides an AI-powered tool for detecting and blurring faces in images. Users can upload photographs, and our system automatically identifies faces and applies blur effects to protect identities. The service is provided "as is" and we make no guarantees about the accuracy of face detection. While our AI achieves high accuracy in most conditions, factors such as image quality, lighting, face angles, and occlusion can affect detection results.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the service only for lawful purposes
• Not upload illegal, harmful, or inappropriate content including but not limited to explicit material involving minors
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or exploit the service
• Not use the service to infringe on others' privacy rights maliciously
• Not use automated scripts or bots to access the service without permission
• Verify that processed images meet your requirements before publishing or sharing

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and modify any images you submit to our service. This includes obtaining necessary permissions from photographers or copyright holders.

4. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to the images you upload. We do not claim ownership of your content and do not use your images for any purpose other than providing the face blurring service you requested. The Blur Faces service, including its design, features, code, and documentation, remains our intellectual property and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

5. Account Registration

Creating an account is optional but required for watermark-free downloads. When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, contact us immediately.

6. Subscription and Payments

Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on your selected plan). You may cancel at any time, and your access will continue until the end of the current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for unused time within a billing period. Refunds for technical issues or service failures are handled on a case-by-case basis. All payments are processed securely through Stripe, and we do not store your full credit card information on our servers.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the service. Scheduled maintenance, unexpected outages, or third-party service disruptions may temporarily affect availability. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service interruptions.

8. Limitation of Liability

Blur Faces is provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to incomplete face detection, processing errors, or any privacy breaches resulting from faces not being properly detected. You acknowledge that no face detection system is perfect and that you should verify processed images before sharing them publicly.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Reasons for termination may include violation of these terms, abusive behavior, fraudulent activity, or extended periods of inactivity. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be resolved in the courts of Ohio.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. For significant changes, we may notify registered users via email.
